It is my great pleasure to send the following comments to you concerning our recent search, and eventual purchase of a home in The Greens at Birkdale. Delores and I rented a townhome here in the village in November with long term plans of finding a home and permanently reloca ng. She is legally blind and cannot drive, so the loca on is conducive to her being able to walk to shopping and other appointments. Our first week here, we met Marilyn Brooks when we looked at a home she was showing in the village. Although it was a great home, it did not have a master on the first floor which was a requirement for us. She took our names, e‐mail address, and phone numbers, and told us she would help us find a new home. We began to receive MLS lis ngs, and she called or emailed us with proper es as they came available. As a true Southern Lady, she also developed such great rapport with Delores, that she knew which homes she would like, and which she would not. When the lis ng on 8222 Parkton came out, we were away in Georgia. Marilyn called us to make sure we saw it, and we had our daughter view it with Marilyn the next day and we saw it as well on returning. Delores was taken immediately, and we made an offer. We had not bought a home of our own in over 40 years. Marilyn took us through every step of offer, counter offer, and contract; and then made sure we understood the warranty, inspec on, appraisal, and survey processes. She is truly a superstar, consummate professional, customer oriented, and a pa ent, wonderful lady. We would recommend her and Allen Tate Realtors to anyone eager to purchase real estate at any level. To further prepare us for the purchase and ownership, Marilyn introduced us to Elaine Young, who along with Susan Huber and Fran Fenesy assisted us in comple ng the myriad of paperwork and requirements for the financing process. He immediately offered to assist us and before we le that day, had prepared quote informa on and sat down with us to discuss our best op on, and allowed us me to discuss the maᙀer and call him back with our approval. His informa on was clear, concise, and allowed us to make a decision that we were comfortable with as well as economically pleasing.
